Anatorey

From Last Exile

A country in opposition of Disith, and later in the series the Guild. It is the primary setting for most of the series.

Anatorey comprises half of the world of Prester, the other half being Disith.

Nowhere is it mentioned that there is a current prime minister.

Anatory has an imperial government.

Anatory is divided into social classes, separating the upper from the lower. This can be observed by the differences in attire, living conditions, as well as water access. Upper class have a much more ready access to first water, something that is greatly coveted by the lower class.

The land controlled by the Anatory is slowly dying; it is a desert wasteland, where water is hard to come by and towns are few and far between. The Vanship Union is used in Anatory as a messenger and courier service, but also as entertainment in races. Later on the Vanship is implemented into the army.
